Evangeline Bank & Trust Co. Takes Now-Former Gulf Coast Bank In Downtown Lafayette

Evangeline Bank & Trust Company, a Ville Platte, Louisiana-based financial institution, recently expanded into the Lafayette Parish market with its first Lafayette location at the corner of 716 St. John & Congress Street—formerly Gulf Coast Bank.

Headquartered out of Ville Platte, LA, The Evangeline Bank and Trust Company operates throughout Louisiana with locations in Alexandria, Pineville, Crowley, Lake Charles, Opelousas, and now Lafayette. According to Southwest Louisiana Regional President, Mr. Boyd Boudreaux, the Lafayette location makes for the company’s third 2020 expansion.

According to a press release shared by villeplattetoday.com, The Evangeline Bank and Trust Company President and CEO, Randel Chapman says “We wish to offer personal and courteous banking to individuals and companies in the Lafayette area and hope to have a long-lasting and meaningful relationship with all our customers.”
