A new international grocery store, called Desi Mart, specializing in Indo-Pak and Middle Eastern products is coming soon to 2441 W. Congress Street in Lafayette, Louisiana, in the former Bismillah Groceries & Kitchen location.
Desi Mart will offer a wide selection of authentic Indo-Pak and Middle Eastern grocery products, including fresh produce, specialty ingredients, imported snacks, beverages, spices, baked sweets, premium Zabiha Halal meats, prepared foods, frozen items, pantry staples, and daily essentials commonly used in South Asian and Middle Eastern cuisine. The store aims to make specialty international ingredients and halal products more accessible to shoppers throughout Acadiana.
According to the companies socials, Desi Mart serves customers throughout the Gulf Coast region with locations in Beaumont, Texas, Lake Charles, Louisiana, and soon Lafayette.
The space, formerly Bismillah, has served as an international grocery destination for Lafayette-area residents for years. Under the Desi Mart brand, the space will continue to offer international groceries while bringing a broader selection of authentic products.

Desi Mart is expected to open June 12th with plans to offer special promotions for customers during its opening weekend.
