On Monday, January 13th, Dean-O’s Pizza at 305 Bertrand Drive began a full renovation to bring the restaurant up-to-date with its Kaliste Saloom store.
The renovations to Dean-O’s on Bertrand include a multitude of changes including, new paint to match the South store, new higher ceilings, a new roof, lots of new decor changes, new countertops, and lots of new TVs throughout the store.
We stopped by Dean-O’s on Bertrand Wednesday afternoon to get a look at the progress and it’s going to look so nice! Not that it didn’t look nice already. It was just a little dated, that’s all.
“Fifty-year-old restaurants can still be sexy with a little work,” said Tim Metcalf, owner of Dean-O’s Pizza.
Tim also mentioned that the restaurant needed a new roof for insurance reasons. Since the restaurant had to close for this to occur, they decided to capitalize on the opportunity to remodel while the new roof was installed.
As a customer of Dean-O’s Pizza, we love their pizza! They also have the pizza for one deal, which is one of the best deals in town. So to see that the family-run business is reinvesting into their restaurant while also continuing to offer such great food and value is really amazing.
Dean-O’s Pizza on Bertrand Drive, according to Greg Metcalf, Tim’s son and manager of Dean-O’s, will be reopening today, Friday, January 17th, for dinner service with its brand new look & feel.
