We are talking with Courtney Dugas, Team Coordinator, along with Max Dugas with Acadiana Veterans Hockey, a program created to grow ice hockey in South Louisiana while building connection among military veterans.
Founded in March 2025, the group welcomes honorably discharged veterans of all skill levels β whether they want to learn hockey, compete in veterans-only tournaments, or simply be part of a supportive community. The team meets regularly on and off the ice and also looks for ways to give back to fellow veterans.
