Chatime, a premium boba tea café, is coming soon to 109 Old Camp Road, Suite 106, Lafayette, Louisiana. The space was previously occupied by Main Squeeze.
Founded in Taiwan in 2003, Chatime has grown into a global tea brand with locations across North America, Asia, Europe, Australia, and growing. The company is known for its handcrafted tea drinks made with freshly brewed tea, giving customers an extensive selection of customizable drinks, mix-ins, and toppings. According to Chatime, its teas are brewed fresh every four hours to help ensure quality and consistency.

The menu features a wide variety of drinks, including their signature milk teas, classic milk teas, fruit teas, fresh brewed teas, smoothies, cold brews, energy tea drinks, and seasonal options. Some specific drinks include Premium Boba Milk Tea, Brown Sugar Boba Milk Tea, Taro Milk Tea, Peach Green Tea with Strawberry Popping Pearls, Taichi Supreme Milk Tea, Mango Slush with Mousse, Cookies & Cream Smoothies, and Lychee Green Tea with Lychee Jelly. Guests can also customize many drinks with different sweetness levels, ice levels, and toppings such as boba pearls, jellies, and “popping pearls”.

Also called “bubble tea”, the drink is continuing to grow in popularity throughout the country. Chatime’s entry into the Lafayette market adds yet another internationally recognized brand to city’s expanding food and drink scene.
No official opening date has been made known as of yet. The space is currently being renovated for the Chatime buildout.
