Carmax buys and sells cars, even if you aren’t buying a car, they’ll buy your car. Plus, it is a haggle-free dealership. Personally, I like to haggle. Makes me feel like I am getting a deal…?

RICHMOND, Virginia (October 4, 2018) – CarMax, Inc. (NYSE: KMX), the nation’s largest retailer of used cars, is now open for business in Lafayette, Louisiana, the company’s 2nd store in the state. The Lafayette store is located at 5825 Johnston St., and has the capacity to stock approximately 170 used vehicles of nearly every make and model. CarMax customers can also request transfers of almost any vehicle to this store from other CarMax locations throughout the country. In addition, CarMax will be opening a store in Shreveport later this month.
In celebration of the Lafayette store opening, CarMax and The CarMax Foundation are awarding $12,500 in donations and grants over the next two years to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Acadiana. The donations for this organization came at the recommendation of the Lafayette CarMax associates.
“We have a lot of admiration for the Boys & Girls Clubs of America and take pride in giving back to our local chapter here in Lafayette,” said Michael Rando, location general manager of the Lafayette CarMax. “We are excited to expand in the state and provide the straight forward car-buying experience customers can expect at CarMax.”
