Blazin’ Hot Chicken, a Louisiana-based Nashville hot chicken concept, is coming soon to the former Dickey’s BBQ space at 109 Wallace Broussard Road, Suite 100 in Carencro, Louisiana.
Founded in Lake Charles, LA, Blazin’ Hot Chicken specializes in Nashville-style hot chicken with varying heat levels. Their menu centers around crispy chicken tenders, sandwiches, wings, loaded waffles fries, sides, and shakes, along with specialty items like their Mac & Cheese Crunchwrap.
This will be the third Blazin’ Hot Chicken location to enter the Lafayette market. The company opened its first Lafayette location on E University Avenue at Pinhook Road. Their second location was previously posted for Broussard, LA, which recently opened inside the former Wendy’s at 1240 Albertson Parkway.

Inside the Carencro store
Work has been ongoing inside of the future Carencro restaurant for several weeks now as the company renovates the former Dickey’s space. New paint, custom artist murals, and other interior improvements are already visible as the restaurant moves closer to completion.
No confirmed opening date has been announced, but we estimate that buildout completion and an opening could land within the next month or so.
