Here is something pretty cool for our city and our state. A new Bell Helicopters project is in the works for Lafayette at the Lafayette Regional Airport. The project according to The Independent (ABiz) will total 46 Million dollars. Abiz has said, “The project will create at least 115 new direct jobs averaging more than $55,000 per year, plus benefits.” So, if you are job hunting in this field, now may be time to start looking into this. Another cool thing is that Gov. Bobby Jindal & Bell Helicopter CEO says, “Bell and the state have teamed up on the first modern-era aircraft assembly facility in Louisiana.” I know this isn’t food guys but this is great news for Lafayette!
