Freedom Homes of Carencro has officially reopened at 4027 NW Evangeline Thruway (I-49) following a full redevelopment of its longtime location behind McDonald’s.
The dealership, which first opened in 1999, originally operated out of an existing residential home on the property. That structure served as the company’s office for more than two decades until it was recently demolished to make way for a new, purpose-built space.

In line with the company’s core business, the new office is now a manufactured home—effectively showcasing the same type of product Freedom Homes sells to its customers. The transition reflects a broader effort by the parent company Clayton Homes, which has been in business for more than 70 years.
Freedom Homes of Carencro offers manufactured homes, including single-wide and double-wide units, as well as land-home packages designed to provide a more accessible path to homeownership.
The redevelopment is followed by a re-grand opening for the location, going along with the company’s 70th anniversary. Freedom Homes’ founding mission has centered on making homeownership more attainable, with a focus on affordability, durability, and evolving design standards.
To celebrate the milestone, Freedom Homes of Carencro is hosting its “Lucky 70th Anniversary Savings Event and Grand Reopening” from March 23 through March 28. The event includes open home tours throughout the week, along with promotional incentives such as matching a customer’s initial deposit toward additional discounts or options—up to $5,000 for single-wide homes and up to $10,000 for double-wide homes with a signed agreement during event dates.
A ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled for this Saturday, March 28 at 12:30 p.m., alongside food, games, and on-site activities for attendees.
