The Purple Putter, a new indoor golf facility, is preparing to open at 208 Centre Sarcelle Blvd, Suite 104 in Youngsville.
Founded by UL Ragin’ Cajun alum and military veteran Caleb Mayard, the 1,400-square-foot space will include two 13-foot-wide hitting bays, each equipped with Foresight GC3 launch monitors and 75-inch TVs for live sports viewing while you play.
Lafayette Parish has always had a strong golf culture, with a mix of active leagues, several public and private courses, and a growing base of amateur players. The Purple Putter aims to complement that community by offering a space where players can stay sharp, work on technique, or simply enjoy a round indoors regardless of the weather.

Located near Sugar Mill Pond inside the Metairie Centre, The Purple Putter will operate on an hourly rental model, available exclusively to members. While no food or beverage service will be provided, complimentary coffee and water will be available to members and their guests.
As of now, no additional amenities are planned beyond the simulation experience. The space is intended to serve golfers looking for a focused environment without added distractions.
The tentative opening for The Purple Putter is set for January 2025, with possible demo days scheduled in December for prospective members to test the facility and equipment before launch.
