On Tuesday of last week, August 27th, we attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the all new facility for The Apothecary Shoppe, Acadiana’s only medical marijuana pharmacy. The new facility will be located at 2104 Ambassador Caffery, next door to the new Super 1 Foods at Dulles Drive.

Blair Vidrine, co-owner & Chief Operating Officer at the Apothecary Shoppe praised the hard work of their staff and even called out the original three employees Bailey, Kevin, and Catherine, stating that the company wouldn’t be where they are today without them. Blair also thanked his dad, Eric Vidrine, and David Mayer, along with the rest of the ownership team. Special thanks were given to Blair’s wife, Victoria, and his kids, Thomas & Luke, for being supportive during the company’s growth. Additional thanks were provided to Tim Green at Azalea Design Studio (https://azaleadesignstudio.com/), Rudick Construction, and to Natalia and Nick Choate with NUBE 9 Coffee for being so great to work with.
The new headquarters for The Apothecary Shoppe will be approximately 2.5 times larger than the current location and will feature a modern spa-like atmosphere & aesthetic. The new location will also feature a larger showroom, a Flower Room showcasing all flower products where patients can see and smell up close before buying, a drive-thru, walk-up ordering kiosks, express pickup, 14 registers, a private consultation area, and a massive back-of-house space for additional employees for increased productivity. But that’s not all! The Apothecary Shoppe will also feature a Colombian specialty coffee shop offered by NUBE 9, owned by Natalia & Nick Choate.

The new Lafayette facility going up is slated to be completed by May 2025. But, what’s not going up are their prices! In fact, the company is constantly working to lower prices.
