Don’s Specialty Meats in Carencro at 4120 NE Evangeline Thruway is opening this week, Thursday, June 28th.
You’ll be able to find all of your favorites at Don’s from plate lunches, boudin, boudin burritos, boudin balls, boudin tots, stuffed boneless chicken, stuffed boneless turkey, and turkey rolls, cracklin, — you name it.
Special to the Carencro location is a drive-thru, which the Scott location does not have, and a separate building that will house the Barbeque pit, and the cracklin poppers. This separate building will help reduce the heat that would otherwise radiate into the main building. In the South, we do not need any extra heat.
Did you know that Don’s produces 3/4 of a million pounds of boudin annually? Yup, dats a lot, cher.
The grand opening celebration for Don’s in Carencro is tentatively set for October of this year, which is the month Don’s started 25 years ago. Happy 25 years, Don’s!
