Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux has officially broken ground on its upcoming Carencro location at the 3500 block of NE Evangeline Thruway in front of Center Square Shopping Center. This center is home to Great American Cookie, Marble Slab, Wingstop, and The UPS Store, and more.
Important note: the local franchisee group, Ten Eight Concepts, manages several Walk-On’s locations, it was not involved in the Broussard, LA franchise.

During the groundbreaking ceremony, Walk-On’s founder Brandon Landry, Carencro Mayor Charlotte Stemmans Clavier, and the local ownership team, Ten Eight Concepts all spoke about the excitement surrounding the project. The new restaurant is expected to bring dozens of new jobs and a high-energy dining experience that aligns perfectly with Carencro’s ongoing growth along the I-49/NE Evangeline Thruway corridor.
The new locations “Gator” model represents Walk-On’s next-generation restaurant design, introducing a refined layout, improved kitchen flow, better acoustics, enhanced to-go capabilities, and optimized TV placement for game-day viewing. The Carencro build spans roughly 5,300 to 5,500 square feet and incorporates a modern, efficient footprint aimed at creating a more comfortable experience for guests and staff.

Construction is moving forward at a steady pace. The foundation is currently being framed and will be poured soon, with an expected completion timeline of 6 or 7 months, which puts it opening the of spring 2026.
