Okay guys, we received a press release from Abby Development who is developing the new resort-style senior living complex at 2201 Verot School Road, called The Vincent—formerly known as Arabella of Lafayette. See our post breaking the new of Arabella of Lafayette (here).
The press release pretty much says a lot of the same things that we initially shared in our earlier post, minus a few exceptions. In the release, they specify 255 units, which we were off by a 3 units. They also mention that each independent living cottage will come with a two-car garage! All independent living units will have a private balcony/patio for those days when you just want to sit outside and relax.

THE VINCENT – CONSTRUCTION ANNOUNCEMENT

Abby Development, a developer, owner and operator of luxury seniors housing communities, has recently broken ground on The Vincent, a 255-unit seniors housing development inLafayette, LA. Offering the full continuum of care, The Vincentwill be located on Verot School Road, just south of the Camellia Boulevard intersection.
The 20-acre resort-style campus will offer independent living apartments and cottages, assisted living and memory care. Planned amenities include a stocked fishing lake, multiple landscaped courtyards with water features, walking trails, movie theaters, indoor & outdoor swimming pools, pharmacy and general store, beauty salons, libraries, fitness center and much more. Residents will have access to housekeeping, transportation, laundry service and gourmet meals prepared in-house by executive chefs.
The Vincent will offer one- and two-bedroom independent living apartments, and two- and three-bedroom independent living cottages. Each independent living apartment and cottage will feature a private patio/balcony, high end finishes, full-size washer and dryer connections, and kitchen, complete with a full appliance package. Each cottage unit will include a private two-car garage. The community will also feature assisted living apartments and a memory care wing. The assisted living apartments will include studio, one- and two-bedroom units, each equipped with full-size refrigerators and microwaves, walk-in closets and high-end finishes. The memory care wing will offer private and semi-private floorplans in a secure environment for those with Alzheimer’s or other memory–related diseases.
