The Blake at Lafayette is underway on the corner of Kaliste Saloom and Polly Lane. The community will be 93,000 sq ft and offer Independent Living, Assisted Living, and is a Memory Care community too. The Blake will feature 110 Apartments with several resort style amenities. Some of these amenities are, “fine and casual dining with indoor and courtyard sitting areas, a spacious and inviting bar and lounge, a Starbucks style coffee shop, bistro and ice cream parlor, salon, massage and spa services, outpatient physical, occupational, and speech therapy, 24 hour nursing and medication management, a sunlit chapel, custom putting greens and outdoor activity courts, a full-feature theatre room, landscaped courtyards with an outdoor fire pavilion, fountains, raised gardens, a business center, library, internet café, fitness center and a general store”. Pretty cool for a retirement community right? Just reading some of that makes me want to love there. However, I am no where near retirement age, but if I were and needed living accommodations this is where I would want to live. Slated to open in the summer of 2015, The Blake will create 70 full time jobs.
