The Apothecary Shoppe has officially opened its third Acadiana location at 4079 I-49 South Service Road in Opelousas.

Positioned along the I-49 service road, the Opelousas location offers easy access for patients across St. Landry Parish and beyond. The space has been designed to feel more like a boutique, blending modern aesthetics with streamlined service to enhance the overall experience.
Inside, patients can expect the same trusted service The Apothecary Shoppe has built its reputation on, now with added improvements in speed, quality, and value. The smaller footprint helps keep the focus squarely on patient care and convenience.
Accessibility has been a key advantage of The Apothecary Shoppe’s new Opelousas location, with patients no longer having to fight Lafayette traffic to get care. “The amount of interest in this location has far exceeded our expectations, and we’re excited to have a presence in Opelousas,” said Blair Vidrine, co-owner and Chief Executive Officer. He explained that the shop is not only serving Opelousas and nearby communities, but also attracting patients from as far as West Baton Rouge and Alexandria.

The Apothecary Shoppe now operates three dispensaries across Acadiana—Lafayette, New Iberia, and Opelousas—further expanding its reach and ensuring more patients have access to care closer to home. A new, larger Lafayette location is also nearing completion and is expected to open in the next couple of months, adding even more capacity and enhancing the company’s presence in the region.

While the doors are already open in Opelousas, The Apothecary Shoppe will host a grand opening party on Saturday, October 11 from 9am-5pm. Guests can expect live music from DJ Digital and DJ RV, food from Laura’s 2 and Smiley Ice, doctors on site offering free medical card sign ups, and plenty of fun as the community comes together to celebrate the newest location.
