A new pickleball and restaurant concept, called SMASH, is coming soon to 2822 Bonin Road in Youngsville, Louisiana’s Sugar Mill Pond.
SMASH will feature a 3,000-square-foot indoor restaurant, a 1,200-square-foot covered and climate-controlled patio with roll-up doors, and a 5,000-square-foot outdoor turf space designed for dining, events, and casual recreation.

Features of the new concept include 4 regulation-size pickleball courts with fencing and lighting for extended play. Adjacent to the courts is a fixed outdoor stage intended for tournament announcements and occasional events, with some occasional live music. An event calendar will highlight biweekly activities like themed contests and community gatherings, often paired with food and drink specials.
The 5,000-square-foot outdoor area includes 2,200 square feet dedicated to a kids activity zone with climbing elements and yard games, along with roughly 3,000 square feet set aside for fire pits, covered picnic tables with TVs and fans, and open seating.

The restaurant will serve elevated American cuisine with a full-service bar. Handcrafted cocktails will be curated by a mixologist and made fresh to order, focusing on quality and presentation.
The venue is designed with group gatherings in mind and will be both family and pet friendly, featuring ADA-accessible amenities throughout.
SMASH Pickleball & Restaurant is tentatively set to open in Fall 2025.

The concept for SMASH was created by Aaron Dulin. The project is being built by Chase Group Construction, a Lafayette-based design-build and development firm known for commercial projects across South Louisiana.
