Smart Carts of Louisiana, a locally owned golf cart dealer based in Breaux Bridge, is expanding into Lafayette with a new showroom coming soon to 100 Inez Lane.
The company also has a location in Youngsville.
Over the past couple of weeks, we’ve spotted Smart Cart trucks at the former auto parts space, along with a certificate of occupancy that was posted around the same time. This building has been vacant for quite some time.

Founded in 2012, Smart Carts has built a solid reputation for offering high-quality new and pre-owned golf carts—including their own custom line of high-performance Smart Carts, known for their speed, power, and built-in Bluetooth audio systems. And with the continued rise of enthusiasts getting into the cart scene, especially in Youngsville’s Sugar Mill Pond, the company has seen continuous growth.
We tried to get direct statements from Smart Carts from their Facebook account about the new location’s expansion, but we were left on read, literally. So, if all seems as expected, the new Lafayette location will give customers in the area easier access to their full lineup, along with potential on-site service and support.
There’s no official opening date just yet, but progress on the space is moving along.
