Patacon Latin Cuisine Expanding to Youngsville, LA

on

Patacon Latin Cuisine, a locally owned Latin American restaurant known for its authentic dishes, is expanding into Youngsville, LA. The new store will be at 208 Centre Sarcelle, next to CC’s Coffee House.

We first wrote about Patacon opening in Lafayette way back in 2015: https://developinglafayette.com/wp/patacon-latin-america-cuisine-is-now-open/

Patacon has already made a name for itself at the Lafayette store, located at 308 Bertrand Drive. The restaurant offers a wide range of traditional Latin American dishes that cater to various tastes and preferences. The menu includes a variety of patacons, which are green or ripe plantain sandwiches filled with a choice of meats, cheeses, and fresh vegetables, all topped with a special sauce. Options include fillings like beef, chicken, pork, shrimp, and even brisket.

Patacon also offers empanadas and pastelitos, stuffed with ground beef, chicken, cheese, and more. For those looking for a savory snack, the tequeños (cheese sticks) and mandocas (deep-fried cornmeal) are must-tries. The restaurant’s signature dish, the Arepa, is a white cornmeal sandwich filled with various savory ingredients like cheese, beef, chicken, and vegetables. Another highlight is the Pabellon, a traditional Venezuelan dish featuring rice, black beans, shredded beef, and sweet plantains.

For those looking for something sweet, Patacon offers tres leches cake, creamy chocoflan, and alfajores, a South American cookie filled with dulce de leche.

The opening for Patacon of Youngsville is expected to happen within the next month or so.
