Old Capital One Building On Louisiana Ave Proposed To Become New Starbucks Coffee Shop

on

A new proposed Starbucks coffee shop is coming soon to the former Capital One bank building at 3105 Louisiana Avenue & I-10.

Construction work at the old Capital One bank building began several months ago with some recent demolition work of the drive-thru banking canopy raising many questions from followers and other locals as to what is happening to the space. Through all of the social media tags we received and connections made, we have been provided with some tangible documents that show that the former bank building is being divided into two units with one unit proposed for a Starbucks.

This new Starbucks coffee shop will be the first standalone Starbucks coffee shop with a drive-thru anywhere near the Northside of Lafayette. The closest location of Starbucks with a drive-thru to this new proposed location is at the corner of Ambassador & Congress Street. Aside from a drive-thru, this new location will feature an outdoor patio with plenty of landscaping.

Founded in 1971, Starbucks Coffee Company is a leading global roaster and retailer of specialty coffee. With over 30,000 stores worldwide, Starbucks is dedicated to ethically sourcing and roasting high-quality Arabica coffee. The company offers a variety of beverages, including handcrafted coffee, tea, and Frappuccino® blended beverages, as well as fresh food items.

As for the Starbucks in Target, that is there to stay. Just like the Southside of Lafayette, Target has a Starbucks and there is a separate, standalone Starbucks that faces Target. So all of the Target moms can breathe easy knowing that their favorite drink is still going to be available while letting Target tell you what to buy.

No tentative dates have been confirmed, but work is ongoing to gut the former space to make way for each unit’s future tenant.
