The all new West Regional Public Library, located at 501 Old Spanish Trail In Scott, LA is set to open May 13th, 2019.
We took a chance of touring the new facility and we have to say, we love it.
The new Public Library is 17,000 SF and comes in just under $6 million. Some of the most notable features of the Library are its architectural design, colored glass throughout, drive-thru book return and pickup, maker-space equipment, self-check kiosks, lactation room & family restrooms, outside courtyard, and electric car chargers.
Other features include adult, children, and teen collections and spaces, large and small meeting rooms with projectors, study rooms, a children’s storytelling room, public computers, and wifi. Also, tons of books! Haha.
The kids and teens area is really cool as it will feature a gaming lounge in a retro-themed transportation space.
