Earlier this month, the building at 1917 Ridge Road, formerly Teak’s restaurant, was completly demolished. According to some permitting information, the building was torn down to make way for a new roundabout at the Ridge Road & S. Fieldspan intersection.
The roundabout is estimated for completion in the Summer 2018.
Personally, looking at the maps and making overlays of the roundabout at Ridge on top of the S. Fieldspan intersection(see above), It’s hard to understand why the building needed to come down. I am not a civil engineer, so I am sure there is a perfectly good reason behind it. However, I’d be interested in knowing more behind the decision.
Hey, big wigs in the road making decision chairs, put a roundabout at Gloria Switch & Mills Road intersection! I nearly get killed each day trying to cross that intersection. Okay, it’s not that bad, but it’s got me feeling some type of way each time I come up to the stop.
