LHC Group, a company headquartered in Lafayette, LA, is expanding their home office by more than 200,000 square foot and 740 new direct jobs; bringing the employee count from 612 to a total of 1,100 in Acadiana.
The investment into Lafayette will total $46 million, which is huge for the city and the state as a whole.
According to documents, the LHC Group expansion will be completed in two phases.
“The first phase will begin immediately, with completion expected by the end of 2020. The second phase will follow by building out two reserve-expansion floors, providing enough space for additional employees in the future.” — LED
According to what we have been told, there are talks of plans to construct a cafeteria/food court area for the employees to enjoy. Parking is also being expanded upon in the place that an old storage facility once stood.
Phase 1 of the expansion is tentatively set to be completed by 2020.
