Lafayette, I am pleased to announce the opening of La Madeleine French Cafe will be tomorrow August 22nd, 2013! They are located in the Shops At Martial (2207 Kaliste Saloom Rd., Lafayette, LA 70508) in the old Bella Figura and Hub City location. They are a Texas based franchise but have since expanded in multiple markets and have finally made their way to Lafayette.
Many know La Madeleine to have a sort of Cafeteria feel. Well not this time Jack, they have ditched the tray rails and have made it what many would call “fast causal” without losing the essence of what is La Madeleine. The Lafayette location also has a reservable wine room that can hold about 30 people. Here you can sample different wines that La Madeleine has too offer while still eating your favorite meal.
The Lafayette store is also more of an updated modern style French cafe then other older locations. This makes it more of a “prototype” if you will and again includes a tray rail-less ordering experience.
Prices are about $10-$15 a person depending on your urge for dessert ;). If you want a suggestion from me… Try the French Dip sandwich, a cup of country potato soup and the cheesecake!
