A new bar & lounge located in the former JP’s Bar at 4416 Johnston, called La Bamba, is bringing Miami style nightlife to Lafayette.
La Bamba is a partnership between Ricardo Valerio, owner of Urbanos Taco Bar and La Bodega Tienda Latina, and Reynieri Castro “Dj Ruffobia”. According to the owners of La Bamba, the atmosphere will be far from the typical, college bro bar nightlife that has existed in Lafayette for too long.
La Bamba will have a focus on dancing where friends can enjoy a casual cocktail, and cut a rug, as the young kids say nowadays. Young kids don’t say that but humor me.
The tentative opening date for La Bamba is set for Friday, May 18th.
