In July of 2018, we posted an update on the new ULL Housing & Retail Development, called Heritage at Cajun Village. In that update, we shared aerial photos of the start of construction, which was mainly just slabs of cement at the time. Fast forward about six months, and what you able to see now are well-formed apartment buildings with finishing features already being added.
The construction for this development—scheduled to be completed in the Fall of 2019—appears to be on track, according to aerial visuals shown below. You could also just drive by the construction site at Johnston & E. Lewis Street to see for yourself.
In our aerial photos below, you can clearly see the layout of the buildings and how they will look. Some parts of the project still have a little ways to go, but should make the Fall deadline. In comparing the renderings, you are able to see an archway design that is noticeable in the aerial photos.
