I came across a market study tonight that prompted me to write this little post. Louisiana as well as Lafayette according to this study has us ranked highest for happiness in the country, but why? When I think about where I live and who I am surrounded by everyday, one thing is certain. People are generally up beat here. There could be a million different things that may cause this, but I think I have it figured out. I think it is safe to say that we have some of the best cooking around this great country of ours. We also are deeply rooted in family and faith as we should be. If you’re not, then I feel bad for you, son. I’ve got 99 problems, but none of what I listed is one. Sorry, I went off on a tangent. Point being, what do Louisianians have to be unhappy about? Simply put…nothing. Sure, we all have our issues in life and our low points, but does that really effect our overall happiness in life? Correct me if I am wrong, but do you want to be anywhere else…like really? Personally, I love Florida, but I don’t want to live there. No offense to you Florida residents that my be reading this, but that’s just how I feel. Our beaches here are not pretty, in fact they are some of the most toxic beaches world wide according to a recent study. And yet, we still love it here. I’m convinced it’s the cooking, really. We have it made here in Louisiana and much more here in Lafayette!!!
God I love Lafayette, why would you want to live anywhere else?

P.S. I hope I didn’t commit any word crimes in this post. If I did, please let me know. I’ll be glad to fix them.
