A new local business, Geaux Out, is now open at 801 E. University Avenue, offering Lafayette a unique blend of luxury event transportation and formalwear rentals—all from one convenient location near the UL Lafayette campus.
Founded by Lauren and Jude Pryor, Geaux Out was created to fill a gap in the local market for boutique-style formalwear paired with high-end event transportation. Instead of setting up shop in a commercial corridor, the couple chose a location that reflects the business’s charm and personality—an intentional move that lends itself to a more relaxed, tailored experience.
The concept is simple: help locals “Geaux Out” in style, with services designed to make weddings, galas, Mardi Gras balls, and other celebrations both elegant and easy. Inside the shop, customers can browse a curated selection of tuxedos, suits, and formal gowns, with fitting services and accessories available on-site. Gowns are purchased new or “once-worn” and rented only twice before being rotated out for fresh inventory—ensuring each piece remains in excellent condition and on-trend.
On the transportation side, Geaux Out offers a chauffeured fleet featuring a classic white trolley with party-style seating and a black 2025 Suburban. The rides are available for private events, group outings, and airport transfers, all handled by professional drivers for a stress-free experience.
What began as a Mardi Gras ride service has since grown into a full-service shop that blends old-world ambiance with modern style.
