Fussell & Colligan, a new civil law firm with a strong focus on personal injury and accident-related claims, has officially opened its doors at 1540 West Pinhook Road in Lafayette.
The firm assists clients with car, trucking, motorcycle, boating, and aviation accidents, as well as property damage and other insurance claims, offshore injury matters, workers’ compensation issues, malpractice claims, and general civil litigation.

Although the firm is newly established, its founders bring decades of combined experience and deep ties to Acadiana, having both graduated from the University of Louisiana before earning their law degrees at LSU (Fussell) and Loyola University New Orleans (Colligan). Their careers have been shaped by years of serving clients throughout the region, building a practice grounded in relationships, trust, and service to the community. The firm’s team also includes Crystal Ross of Abbeville, who oversees day-to-day operations for the office.
Outside of their legal work, the attorneys are actively involved in supporting local education and mentorship initiatives. Fussell & Colligan has sponsored the University of Louisiana’s Moot Court team and participates in the 52 Shepherds Program, which shows the firm’s commitment to investing in Acadiana’s next generation of leaders.
While the firm’s primary focus is personal injury, Fussell continues to provide experienced representation in oil and gas law across the region. Outside the firm, Colligan serves as a judge for the municipal courts of Church Point and Duson, working closely with local law enforcement and community leaders, while Fussell serves as an Assistant City-Parish Attorney for Lafayette.
