A new tenant in the Acadiana Mall, called Fire Kutz & Dezignz, is bringing quality barber services with over 20+ years of experience to the area.

Husband & wife team, Earnest & Raquel Curl, came to Lafayette from Florida to raise their family and to open a quality barbershop. When it came to deciding where to open their barbershop, the team saw a real opportunity inside of the Acadiana Mall where families of all colors and backgrounds go to shop.
“We have a clear vision that being located in the Acadiana Mall provides us with the opportunity to reach all walks of life and influence people with laughter, quality, and professionalism on a daily basis.”
During my visit to the Barbershop, Earnest, the owner, noticed that it was looking just about time for me to get a haircut. Taken back, I shrugged off the comment until he asked me to take a seat. I nervously sat down as he began to prepare his equipment. I also stated that I have not had a guy cut my hair since I was very little. I even mentioned to him that my hairstylist of 9 years would probably be upset, though, we continued with the cut. But after about 30 minutes, I received a quality haircut, straight razor shave, and a newfound respect for barbershops.
Located in the former Sears wing, Fire Kutz & Dezignz is a full-service barbershop for today’s gentleman, women, and families in a setting where they can sit back, relax and experience the new aged style of diverse barbering services. It’s a place for the growing families of today; a place where even mothers will feel comfortable.
Services include all modern styles along with traditional haircuts, traditional straight-edge razor shaves and hot towel treatments in a nice, comfortable chair. While waiting to get your haircut or service, enjoy a game of billiards (pool) or play a game on their big screen PlayStation 4.
Their mottos are: “You provide the hair. We provide the FIRE” and “It’s A Blessing To Serve”.
They plan to accommodate up to 18 guests including not only men, but women, and children as well. Wash stations are being installed soon along with a few other fun things.
Saturday, November 2, 2019, is their grand opening event with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 2:00 pm. They invite anyone to come out in support of their celebration.
