The West Coast–based coffee chain, Dutch Bros Coffee, is nearing the final stages of construction at 5711 Johnston Street, just in front of the Acadiana Mall in Lafayette, Louisiana.

Signage has been installed, and crews are completing exterior and site work as the new drive-thru coffee spot takes shape.
The building spans roughly 950 square feet and features a two-lane drive-thru with walk-up windows only—no indoor seating—designed for quick, convenient service along the busy Johnston Street corridor. A small parking area sits alongside the compact structure, optimized for high-volume flow and fast turnaround times.
This store marks the third Dutch Bros Coffee location in Louisiana, following the first in Baton Rouge and the second in Lake Charles, both of which are now open—making Lafayette the third city in the state to welcome the rapidly growing coffee chain. The Johnston Street property previously housed a Regions Bank branch and was once slated for a Firehouse Subs location in 2022 before plans changed.
With construction nearly complete and signage now in place, Dutch Bros is expected to open in late November or early December 2025, bringing its energetic drive-thru model and signature line of coffee, teas, and energy drinks to one of Lafayette’s busiest commercial corridors.
