Popular West Coast coffee brand, Dutch Bros Coffee, is coming soon to 5711 Johnston Street in Lafayette, formerly a Regions Bank branch in front of the Acadiana Mall.
The new 950-square-foot Dutch Bros Coffee shop will feature a two-lane drive-thru and walk-up windows only — no indoor seating, and a small parking lot, according to provided plans.
This will be the second known location for Dutch Bros Coffee shop entering the state of Louisiana behind the first announced Baton Rouge location.
The site, which was originally set to become a Firehouse Subs back in 2022, will see the old Regions Bank building completely demolished to make way for the new coffee spot.

Dutch Bros is known for high-energy service and a full menu of specialty coffees, cold brews, teas, and energy drinks. With Johnston Street already one of the busiest areas in Lafayette, this new spot should be yet another popular coffee stop.
Permits are in progress, and construction is expected to move quickly once it gets started, as the building design is small — much like Scooter’s Coffee.
