A new BinDrop discount store, called Drop Dead Deals, is now open at 5702 Johnston Street #101 next to Guitar Center. The store promises to offer customers a unique shopping experience, with exchange options, in-store credits, fill-a-bag options, and a unique shopping area called “The Witches Den,” where everything will be only 50 cents!
The owners, Leah “Momma Spooky” Miller and Jason Draper, have been operating Spirit Halloween in South Louisiana for over 15 years and are no strangers to the retail industry. In 2020, she actually open the first discount bin store in Lafayette, called “Bindrop”. After closing its doors three years ago, the Bindrop store in the Grand Marche shopping center had to shut down after only one week due to the sale of the property to make way for “The Forum”. However, today the team behind Drop Dead Deals has worked tirelessly to come up with a new concept that will offer customers a fresh and exciting shopping experience.
“We have so many other things up my sleeve but don’t wanna spill it all yet.”
“We’ve taken everything we learned from our previous venture and applied it to create something truly unique with Drop Dead Deals,” said the store owner. “Our focus is on making the shopping experience fun and interactive for our guests. Our employees will also dress up as zombies on Saturdays to integrate the vibe of the owners and its staff.”
Drop Dead Deals will also offer merchandise, with items sorted and placed in specific areas for ease of shopping instead of just being tossed about. The store promises to have many surprises in store, with the owner keeping some ideas under wraps for now.
“I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to bring this concept to life,” said the owner. “We are confident that customers will love our selection of products and the unique shopping experience we offer.”
