The popular gelateria & espresso bar, Carpe Diem, at 812 Jefferson Street in Downtown Lafayette is opening a second location that will be located at 3209 Johnston, next door to Sophi P. Cupcakes.
Carpe Diem turned 6 years old this week and to celebrate their anniversary, they announced a second Lafayette location. This new location will be home to some of Carpe Diem’s most popular gelato flavors that isn’t always available at the Downtown location. Carpe Diem will keep the following six flavors on hand as part of the norm for the Johnston Street location.
Consistent flavors will include:
- Pistachio
- Biscoff
- Strawberry Sorbetto
- Chocolate
- Salted Caramel
- Sophie P. … yup, that’s a flavor! 🙂
The flavor, Sophie P., will be inspired by creations from their close neighbor, Sophie P. — hence the name.
If you’re looking for espresso, or other eccentric treats, then the Downtown location is where you need to head. However, the Johnston Street location will serve a special Japanese style iced coffee for those seeking caffeination with their gelato.
Carpe Diem soft opens their Johnston location during the week of July 10th through the 14th.
