Big Red Crawfish, a new crawfish drive-thru is coming soon at 438 E Pont des Mouton Road in Lafayette.
The company is bringing a farm-to-boil crawfish to the north side as the 2026 season continues to ramp up.

Brothers Harry and Lucas West
Founded by brothers Harry and Lucas West, third-generation farmers from Chataignier, Louisiana, the farm-to-boil business draws its supply through West Farming partnership. These farms are where the family grow and harvest rice, crawfish, soybeans, and corn. Having grown up in the industry, the brothers spent years planning to establish their own crawfish boiling operation. After thorough research, they found the perfect location along Pont des Mouton Road, across from the old Winn-Dixie on Moss.
Big Red Crawfish will offer boiled crawfish and shrimp, along with traditional sides including potatoes, corn, and dipping sauces. Customers will also be able to purchase live crawfish for home or office boils.

Since the operation sources crawfish directly from its own farm, the business maintains complete control over its supply chain. This level of access and control enables the business to operate more efficiently, even during periods when crawfish seasons have a slower than usual start across South Louisiana. Although the supply is still increasing, the owners anticipate improved availability in the coming weeks as the conditions for the almighty crustacean get right, ya dig.
Big Red Crawfish officially opens to the public Wednesday, January 21.
