An old-time local favorite in Carencro called, Bear’s Den, is about to open again in Downtown Carencro after many years of being missed.
Back in the 1970’s, the Bear’s Den was the spot for many Carencro middle & high school students to grab a bite. Back then, a man by the name of Shelton Sonnier was the owner of the original Bear’s Den. Shelton recently passed away, but Marie Thompson, the new owner, is opening the Bear’s Den in a tribute to Sonnier’s legacy and the memories made at this hot spot.
The new Bear’s Den is located at 103 East St. Peter’s Street in Downtown Carencro. The tentative opening is set for June 12th.
