A large commercial development featuring a new convenience store (c-store) and two restaurant spaces is under construction in Scott, Louisiana, along the I-10 frontage road within the Destination Pointe area off Highway 93.
Plans for the project, developed under Cajun Play, LLC, show a large-format convenience store with about 20 fuel pumps, similar in scale to travel center brands like RaceTrac or QuikTrip—though not confirmed. The c-store is estimated to be around 6,000 to 8,000 square feet.

The building will also include an attached 2,000 square foot tenant space designed with a drive-thru, which could accommodate a restaurant, coffee concept, or similar use. No tenant has been confirmed for that space at this time.
In addition to the main building, plans show a second, separate structure on the property that is designed for a quick-service restaurant (QSR) with a drive-thru. Like the other attached tenant space, no tenant has been confirmed for this building although talks are in progress.

Earlier posts from us included information mentioning possible restaurants like Golden Chick and Shaq’s Big Chicken coming to Destination Pointe. However, those projects have not been confirmed as part of this specific project, and no construction tied to those brands has started at this location as of yet.

Construction on this project is expected to continue throughout the year, with tentative completion set for the end of 2026. The convenience store and main structures are likely to be completed by then, but no timeline has been confirmed yet for when the additional spaces will be leased or open.
I hope this helps for all of the questions you guys have had! We appreciate all the of the questions! Please keep a look out for more updates to this project as the year progresses.
