Alexandria-based Red River Bank has expanded into the Lafayette, Louisiana market with the opening of a combined loan production office and deposit production office, located at 91 Settlers Trace, Suite C of Building 4.
Red River Bank is said to be Louisiana’s seventh-largest community bank. However, according to ibanknet.com, they come in at sixth with Investar Bank recorded in seventh place. But the Louisiana heavyweight champion for largest community-based bank goes to Lafayette’s own IBERIABANK.
Blake Chatelain, Red River Bank President & CEO, said, “We’re excited about our entry into the Acadiana market and being able to better serve our many local customers that we’ve partnered with over the past 21 years.”
Ben Smith, Red River Bank Acadiana Market President, said, “I look forward to growing the bank in this area one customer at a time by providing excellent service and building financial relationships.”
It was kind of interesting to drive through River Ranch yesterday after getting the press release from globenewswire.com; partly because I never realized just how many banks are situated in River Ranch. Here is a list of them within close proximity to each other, literally a stone through guys: IBERIABANK, BancorpSouth, First National Bank, American Bank & Trust Co., HomeBank, Hancock Whitney, First Bank & Trust, Washington State Bank, B1 Bank, and now Red River Bank.
