SouthStar Urgent Care, an independently owned private medical facility, will soon open a new location inside of the former Sakura Sushi Bar & Grill, located at 3217 Johnston Street in Lafayette.
Owned by Hulin Health, SouthStar Urgent Care is on a fast-paced expansion trend with many locations popping up throughout South Louisiana; primarily in the Acadiana region.
“Our clinics offer non-critical, but urgent medical care to patients as an alternative to long waits in the emergency room or when they cannot reach their primary physician after office hours or on weekends.”
In September of last year, we shared that the city of Scott would also be home to a new SouthStar Urgent Care. The Scott location is practically complete and will open very soon. See post.

Renovations to the former sushi bar & grill are in full swing and should be completed within the next 2-3 months.
