A local Lafayette baker, named Jacie Simar, along with her good friend, Sunni Tapp, and kitchen momma, Jackie Louviere, are grand opening JacieBakes today.
JacieBakes is located at 4302 Moss Street in North Lafayette.
Back in high school, Jacie loved to bake. She even went on to compete as an assistant on Food Network’s Cupcake Wars. While living in Arkansas, she co-owned a cupcake bakery, but later moved back home to Lafayette to pursue a career in cosmetology. Even though she changed her career path, Jacie still baked from home and even managed to get so busy baking that she was kicked out of the kitchen by her husband, lovingly of course. This left Jacie to change her career path yet again but back to her roots baking.
Today, JacieBakes is Jacie’s passion. And her good friend & long-time baker, Sunni, even moved from Arkansas to help Jacie open the bakery, along with her mom, Jackie, who is there to keep them in line!
Go check them out today, they are opening at 10 AM until 5 PM or until they are sold out! They will have fun things for kids, and of course, cake!
