Veterinary Associates of Acadiana, a new locally owned & operated vet clinic, will soon open at 211 Southcity Pkwy, next door to KIA.
The new—full-service—clinic will be a 3,339 SF, state of the art vet clinic serving all sizes and shapes of animals. It will be appointment based but will welcome walk-ins and emergencies on an as needed basis.

“We are excited to announce the construction of a 3,339 SF, state of the art veterinary facility that will serve pets of all shapes and sizes in south Lafayette. Veterinary Associates of Acadiana will be conveniently located down the road from the new South Regional Public Library on Southcity Parkway. The clinic is owned and will be operated by Dr. Ashley Guidry-LeMaire and Dr. Gregory Schmidt, both of whom are proud Louisiana natives and graduates of the Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine. Our veterinarians have been practicing in the Lafayette area for over a decade and have developed strong doctor/patient/client relationships with many local pet owners and are excited to grow those relationships and continue to build more. With particular interests in dentistry, internal medicine, emergency medicine, and exotic animals, our doctors are uniquely suited to handle almost any furry, feathered, or scaly patient that walks, flies, or crawls through our doors. Our full-service veterinary clinic will offer wellness visits, treat sick patients, and perform surgeries. We will also offer digital radiography and in house diagnostics. This clinic will be appointment based but will welcome walk-ins and emergencies on an as needed basis.
