A new shopping center called, North Point, just started construction at 3730 NE Evangeline Thruway, formerly Desperado’s.
The new North Point shopping center is owned by local Carencro native & entrepreneur, Carrol Castille. The new center will be home to five great additions to Carencro.
The four known tenants that will open here are:
- La Pizzeria
- Tropical Smoothie Café
- Great American Cookie & Marble Slab
- Sync Fitness –
The fifth space is still up for lease.
Castille is also planning to building another center on the side of Prejean’s. It is said to have a well-known restaurant move into that center. We have some ideas of what it could be, but we can’t say just yet—it’s good though!
Castille spoke about the opportunity to bring additional business to the area saying, “Carencro is my hometown and I’ve been fortunate enough to develop a lot of property and bring a lot of jobs to an area that I love. Having new restaurants and retail shops in the area will drive business, create jobs, and increase real estate value considerably. I think we should all be excited about the continuous growth in this community, I know I am.”
