When I was a young kid, I would have loved to learn more about robotics, engineering and if 3-D printing was a thing, I would have to wanted to learn that too. Luckily for students in K – 5th grade that attend the Episcopal School of Acadiana, they will have that opportunity.
The Episcopal School of Acadiana, located in the former LAFCO Boats Building at 721 East Kaliste Saloom Road, has been working on a new state-of-the-art enrichment center for its Lower School over the past several months. It will offer robotics programming, 3-D printing, infrastructure engineering, and Cajun history preservation just to name a few.
ESA’s STEAM program is made up of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math – with an arts academy, science, robotic and technology program, music and theatre, chapel and performance space, library, and makerspaces.
The grand opening of the new ESA enrichment center is set for January 27th.
